Arpine Davoyan Calls on International Structures from This Tribune
1 / 1

Today about 13:00 o’clock, the Azerbaijani armed forces started another provocation on the eastern border of the Republic of Armenia, firing at the Armenian positions using artillery, armor etc. This is nothing, but another attempt to invade the Armenian territory which violates one of the most important principles of the intentional law, the Article 2.4 of the Charter of the United Nations by which the following is envisaged: all members in the international relations abstain from the use of force or threat against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, which is incompatible with the purposes of the United Nations. Yet, this is the continuation of penetration of the Azerbaijani armed forces in Syunik and Gegharkunik regions from May 12, and Azerbaijan violates the November 9 trilateral statement signed at the supreme level and confirmed by the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Russia and the President of Azerbaijan. We just learned that the Republic of Armenia appealed to the CSTO and the Russian Federation in order to take effective measures to correct this situation. However, we call on the international community, the CSTO, the OSCE Minsk Group and its Co-Chairs to give a targeted response to another provocation of the Azerbaijani side, which seriously endangers the regional peace and security also causing human losses and to prevent them by all available measures.
